Heart to Heart
Heart to Heart is a Mental health campaign that strives to raise awareness about reaching out during difficult times and in times of mental stress. I did this project during the height of the COVID-19 lockdowns, when people were mentally and physically isolated, and it was important to be there for each other in times of uncertainty. The campaign's main goal is to strengthen people's mindset with affirmations and encourage heart-to-heart conversations with loved ones.

Design Concept
At the height of the pandemic, the world faced covid lockdowns, and people had no choice but to be isolated in their homes. Social distancing was a necessity but at the expense of people's mental health. The subject of mental health is a broad and complex issue. To alleviate the problem, my campaign focuses on reaching out to close ones when you feel lonely and isolated. My designs include illustrations of monsters associated with pun phrases to encourage conversations. I noticed that most campaigns I researched surrounding destigmatising mental health are serious in tone because of the seriousness of the issue and the fact that mental health can be a taboo subject for some in conversations. My take on this subject was to use another taboo thing: monsters! Monsters are a symbol of taboo or a metaphor for being an outsider. I flipped these taboos into something that shouldn't be feared and turned it into a playful and encouraging message to the general public.
